I've raised £500 to WHEEL OVERCOME - helping support the IOM Foodbank and Housing Matters IOM

For a long time now I have been concerned about the homeless problem in the Isle of Man, together with the local foodbanks. Over the past two years I have organised 2 local events under the We Shall Overcome banner and raised nearly £3,500 in cash and food.
I started cycling in April last year after a break of about 30 years. I decided that I could try and raise some funds whilst also pushing myself to the limits of my cycling abilities. I have entered the IOM Cyclefest Gran Fondo on 22nd April, almost a year after starting cycling. The course is just over 80 miles with 7,500 feet of climbing, involving some of the hardest climbs on the Island.
