Hi! So my name is Charlotte. I'm 27 year old with my whole life ahead of me. I'm a wheelchair user after my whole life changed at the age of 22. I was a nurse at work when I tried to stop a patient falling and I messed up my spine. I now am medically retired, unable to work and live independently. I've lost myself and my dream to work as a nhs nurse.

So how can you help? Firstly, I hate to ask. I'm a thoroughly stubborn person but the NHS wheelchair services has failed me and won't allow me to get the wheelchair I need. I'm sure, as many of my friends know, the chair I have is clumpy, heavy and causes me to become socially isolated because I can't access certain means of transport, I've had issues with taxis, busses and sadly I don't drive. I'm trying to live a normal life but I'm unable to do so. I know there are causes bigger than mine but I wouldn't ask if it weren't desperate. My pride has been torn down and I'm sorry to ask but it's my last chance.
