Story
Following the successful shipping of 370 wheelchairs to Pakistan and an upcoming container of 330 wheelchairs leaving for Iraq soon - Wheels to Heal next wheelchairs fundraising projects is for Lebanon.
These pictures show 350 wheelchairs ready to be secured. It is only £10 per wheelchair.
The wheelchairs for Lebanon will go towards
- a hospital that treats patients without limbs and amputees, particularly those effective by the 1 million unexploded cluster bombs left by the occupying Israeli army when they vacated the south of the country.
- Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon which are home to nearly 500,000 people across 12 sites.
The reality is that what we are doing is but a drop in the ocean for what is needed for the disabled on a global level. However for the individual end recipients it could mean the world.
