Story
In an ideal world foodbanks wouldn't need to exist, no-one should struggle for basic necessities that most of us take for granted. Due to Covid-19 more people are finding themselves in a situation where they are forced to seek help and foodbanks are struggling to keep up with the demand.
As you know I can't say no to a daft challenge so on Thursday 20th August I have decided to cycle from Redcar to Arnside in Cumbria and back again, approx 192 miles, in one day to raise funds to buy essentials for our local foodbanks.

4 years agoHi everyone, thanks so much for all of the generous donations. Because of the amount raised we have expanded the food banks we are donating too - we are now donating to Billingham/stockton/ Norton Hartlepool and redcar food banks and MAP (Methodist asylum project) who help asylum seekers and refusees in the Middlesbrough area
