Late last year Laura took over the rental on Whitegate Farm. Her dream to provide a safe home for animals that were bound for slaughter had come true.
This amazing lady has so far rescued six sheep, five pigs, two goats, eight rabbits, three turkeys, four ducks and around 80 hens. Her latest arrivals are two baby goats, Billy and Bobby. These little ones were taken from their mum and saved from being shot as they were surplus to requirements. Bobby is currently having treatment from the vet for a gastric problem due to him being so tiny.
It's heartbreaking but Laura gives all these animals a second chance whereby they can live out their days in a happy and safe environment.
Because Whitegate isn't a registered charity, all the animal food, their housing, maintenance and vets bills are paid for by Laura and odd donations from the public. Without an injection of funds it is almost impossible to sustain the care she currently provides so please donate as much as you can, every penny will be put to good use!
