The Whitley Bay Junior Golf Team has qualified for the Home Nations Inter Club Championship Final. It is an incredible achievement with the team travelling to Portugal in March 2018 representing England!

Last year the team came amazingly close to the ultimate prize having progressed through the Northumbria Junior Golf League and the North Regional Finals. They continued their fantastic form into the National Semi Final held at Hallamshire Golf Club to win on count back and move onto the National Final at Studley Wood in front of the TV cameras, to narrowly miss out.

This year 2017 they went one better and each and every junior has made their parents, club and everyone involved in the Northumbrian Junior League extremely proud. Little known Whitley Bay is flying the flag for their country in front of the Sky TV Cameras in a week long event held in the Algarve.

Unfortunately the majority of cost falls to the juniors themselves. They are looking to raise as much money as possible to help fund the event. They are already planning as many fundraising events as possible but the timeframe is very short, so are asking that you contribute what you can or simply share this link. This will give our talented group of youngsters the opportunity to represent England and do what they do best…. Golf!!!!
