I've raised £2000 to Fund our support line and awards for young people over the Christmas period.

Whysup was started by us, Mark and Liam, two old school friends who grew up in Bolton.
We are not teachers, counsellors, or professional speakers, but people who have lived through the illness of addiction, battled mental health, and now practice good wellbeing.
We know the importance of taking care of yourself, looking after your mental health and being able to ask for help when you need it most. We now try to share what we have learned to benefit others and work within education, businesses, and sports clubs.
We always said we would try to help if ever anyone reached out and wanted to make a difference in our hometown more than anything else. We have since delivered 54 free services within education organisations in Bolton, given out over 30 recognition awards to young people and as of Sept 2019 established the Whysup support line. We have now helped countless people, set up links to treatment routes and believe we have changed many lives.
This was all self-funded and much of it paid for through utilising profits from our own merchandise sales. More recently with the impact of COVID we have seen a massive increase in the number of people reaching out for help and the demand on our support line has been higher than ever. We have increased the availability and as such are raising money to keep this going through the Christmas Period.
In addition to this we want to ensure we are able to recognise some of the great behaviour and attitudes we are seeing in the young people in our town so will be issuing some recognition awards at Christmas.
