I've raised £3000 to Wickford at Christmas

Wickford at Christmas is organising this fundraiser to help raise money for Wickford high street’s Christmas lights.
The Wickford at Christmas volunteer committee's biggest fundraising opportunity is the town’s annual Christmas Street Fair fundraiser, which was sadly cancelled last year. We need your help to raise money for our town's Christmas lights and host our Christmas street fair. Last year, we managed to raise enough money to put the high street’s Christmas lights up, but the volunteer committee sadly does not have sufficient funding to be able to put on as much entertainment for our street fair this year, or purchase much needed new lighting.
Please support our fundraising to help cover the cost of putting the lights up and giving Wickford the best Christmas experience we can.
For our little town. the total cost needed is more than £15,000. It costs £6,800 alone annually to put the lights up.
Eunice Brockman, chair of Wickford Community Events said: “We are devastated that the Wickford at Christmas Street Fair was cancelled last year. We struggle to raise enough funds each year as it is, but as the street fair was cancelled last year we are in desperate need to get enough funds for the lights in 2021. It takes a real community effort in Wickford and beyond to light up our high street at Wickford – the money is all raised by donations, fundraising efforts and grants. We know times have not been easy for everyone this year, but even if every Wickford resident donated £1 each, we would have more than enough.”
