Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge – 12th June 2026

On 12th June 2026, A team from MLR Networks will be taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for a truly special cause – The Widnes Disco for adults with learning disabilities. A colleague and friend of ours has supported this cause for many years, we wanted to help her with a fantastic cause.

This incredible disco has been running for over 30 years, bringing joy, laughter, and connection to adults with learning disabilities in the local community. Held every other Wednesday at the RAOB Social Club on Sayce Street, it’s entirely run by dedicated volunteers who give their time simply because they care.

The disco started back in the 1990s by families connected to Pingot Day Centre, and despite many changes over the years – including venue closures and even the challenges of COVID – it is still going strong today thanks to the passion and commitment of those involved.

Importantly, this is not a registered charity and receives no formal funding. Every penny raised comes from small entrance fees and a single annual fundraiser. That money goes directly towards creating magical experiences for attendees – from paying the DJ to organising special celebrations at Easter, Halloween, and Christmas, where everyone receives gifts, prizes and a little extra joy.

If you’ve ever seen the disco in action, you’ll know just how special it is. For three hours every fortnight, the room is filled with smiles, singing, dancing and pure happiness. It’s a place where everyone can feel included, carefree and truly themselves. ✨

That’s why a growing team are taking on this challenge – to help ensure this amazing group can continue bringing those moments of joy for many years to come.
