Story
Assalamu'aleikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu dear brothers and sisters.
I have an aunty living in Dubai whose husband passed away nearly two years ago, leaving her with two young orphans to look after and care for. She is in desperate need because her visa has run out and she is trying her best to get a new one. In the meantime she has been told to leave the place that she is currently staying by the 17/07/18 and she has nowhere to go. They told her that there is a place available but it is £400 a month.
She cannot afford this because she is not working and she is not able to work due to her immigration status. On top of that, what makes this situation even more difficult for her is that, she has a tube in her body that helps the passage of food go through and this means she is not able to fast.
I would like to raise the following amount to at least support her for two months and the remaining to go towards her living expenses. This will also give her time to sort out her visa arrangements and possibly being able to get a place for her inshaAllah. I know that right now you are probably thinking that aren't we as a family helping her out. Alhamdulillah by the will of Allah we are trying our best. However, this sudden eviction came in such short notice and it hasn't given us the time to fully prepare to raise the money. This is why we have decided to reach out to a wider audience.
I will know leave you with two important Hadith's in which the messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) emphasised, the reward when one helps orphans and widows.
Sahl bin Sa’d RA reported: Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “I will be like this in Jannah with the person who takes care of an orphan”. Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) raised his forefinger and middle finger by way of illustration.
(Bukhari)
Reported by Abu Hurairah (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “One who strives to help the widows and the poor is like the one who fights in the way of Allah.” The narrator said: I think that he (peace be upon him) added also: “I shall regard him as the one who stands up (for prayer) without rest and as the one who observes fasts continuously”.
(Bukhari and Muslim)
