As some of you will be aware, the death of a partner is sadly expensive and financially complicated often leaving people temporarily, or long term in financial distress.These widowed people are often unnoticed within the community and lost within the benefit system. After my husband was suddenly killed it took five months for benefits to kick in, meanwhile the costs including a heavy funeral bill, just kept going out. Our charity aims to provide small grants that not only could help with practical day to day things but also with getting back into work or family holidays and support group get together.
Please help us support these people, who through no fault of their own, are struggling to keep financially going at a time when emotionally they are already overwhelmed.
