I've raised £500 to support C'Siders - Weymouth and Portland Cancer Support Group

My name is Will Fahie, and I am running a marathon this summer, on 21st August, just 6 days after I turn 18. In taking on this challenge, I am hoping to raise money for C'Siders - Weymouth and Portland Cancer Support Group.
Between the age of 4 and 11, I was lucky enough to attend Abbey Primary School in Shaftesbury. I have a lot to thank them for, and they gave me a brilliant start to my education. It was made all the better by an excellent headteacher, Peter Meacham. Shortly after I left the school, Mr Meacham had to leave after being diagnosed with cancer, which he still battles with today.
Despite the ongoing battle, Mr Meacham had the altruism to set up a cancer support group in Weymouth and Portland called C'Siders, whose aim is to ensure that no one in the community should have to face cancer alone.
Being a good friend of my mum, as well as being someone I really look up to, when it came to picking a charity for this event, there was no hesitation, it had to be C'Siders.
The marathon I am participating in is the Two Tunnels Race, Bath. They host a range of distances on the day, including a half marathon which I completed last year. The course involves the longest underground section of any running event in the UK!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I would really appreciate any donations, however small, for this fantastic charity.
