Story

As some of you may or may not know my wonderful husband and best friend Will was diagnosed with prostate cancer in December 2016. Treatment commenced throughout 2017 and as part of his treatment he had to go through an intense course of radiotherapy at The Rosemere Centre, Preston.

The staff at the centre were amazing. So kind and caring to Will and myself and we cannot thank them enough for the care that they provided.

As a way of saying thankyou I have set myself a challenge - I am taking part in my first ever 10k run on Sunday 8th July 2018 - The Blackpool Summer 10k. My aim is to raise as much money as possible to help towards one of the Rosemere Centre’s projects - “The DaVinci Xi Robotic Surgical System” . The highest specification of surgical robot and the first of its kind in the North of England to support the work of surgeons in hard to reach, complex pelvic surgical procedures.

This will be the furthest I have ran so it is definitely going to be a challenge but nothing compared to what Will and other patients have to go through so this is for them.

Wish me luck!

Any donation would be greatly appreciated in helping support this amazing cause.
