Story
The Rhythm Practice
This Music Therapy practice is due to open in early 2021 and will be based at The Pound Arts Centre in Corsham, Wiltshire. The service will help develop a positive change in the well-being of individuals of all ages through the creative use of music, facilitated by trained music therapists.
The video below outlines the aims of this project:
In total, £8500 is required in order to equip a room with high quality music instruments and equipment. £6000 of this target has already been pledged by the council and a school, leaving an outstanding balance of £2500. This final balance must be found in order to unlock the rest of the grant funding to bring this project to life.

2 years agoJust to let you all know that The Rhythm Practice has just completed a 12 week pilot program with The Corsham School. Feedback has been amazing and we have just successfully been awarded funding from Wiltshire Council to extend this support for the next full academic year. We are now looking to expand this service to cover adult mental health support. This would not have been possible without all your help early on so again..... THANK YOU!! 2 years agoThis week 'The Rhythm Practice' opens it's doors to it's first clients. A selection of teenage pupils from Corsham School that require special emotional and mental health support. As we come out of lockdown I will look to build the team of music therapists working from here and widen the range of clients that can access the service. Thanks to your kind and generous donations, the space is fully equipped with an amazing mix of musical instruments, equipment and technology. Thank you all so much, Will x www.therhythmpractice.org

2 years agoAbsolutely amazing news today. Corsham Town Council have agreed to put in £500 to The Rhythm Practice which takes us through the target required to unlock all other match funding - a total of £8.5k. I really want to thank all 58 of you that have donated to this project through this Just Giving site. Without you this project would not have happened so a huge THANK YOU to each and every one of you. It is heart warming to get the financial support but just as importantly get the moral support and belief that this is a worth while cause.
