Story

On July 12th 2018, myself and a group of other students from Chellaston Academy will be travelling to Uganda with the aim of giving aid to the community of Kampala. Whilst we are in Uganda we will be helping the most vulnerable of people, including those living in baby orphanages and homeless shelters, as well as those living in slums. In addition to this, we will be working with two orphanages that the school has worked closely with for many years, to maintain and improve on the work that previous Uganda teams have done. In working alongside the local people we will be improving their safety on a day to day basis and in the future. This year, there is a particular focus on education, which will include the teaching of an array of subjects by us, the Uganda team. This education will hopefully provide them with the tools needed to prosper in their future lives, improving the quality of it in the long-term, as well as short-term.

In order to raise money for this opportunity, I will be running the Derby 10k on April 15th. Any sponsorship that you are willing to offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much,

Will
