Story

William was born on 18 July 2016. He was three months premature, weighing just 757grams. William was looked after in the NICU at Lewisham Hospital by the most amazing team, but unfortunately after 10 days of giving a strong fight, William passed away.

This year would have been William’s 2nd birthday. This year we have decided to raise money in William’s memory for the Lewisham NICU ward where he was looked after.

We want to raise money to buy equipment and machines for the ward and improve the ward for the parents, as you spend a lot of time there.

I will be running the Virgin British 10k with my friend Louise on Sunday 15 July in memory of William. The run is 3 days before William’s 2nd birthday, so it feels like a perfect time to run in his memory.

The run is in central London and goes past some of the major London landmarks. I haven’t run very much the past few years. The last time I did a proper run was the London marathon, which was over 12 years ago now! Louise ran the London marathon in 2016, so let’s hope I can keep up with her!

Thank you for your support for this very worthwhile cause.

If you would like to sponsor us, it would be much appreciated.
