Story

Jessie is 11 and set up this charity after a particularly hard Christmas. She wants to be able to send treats to people with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC), their siblings and parents, to bring joy to those going through tough times. Her brother William has TSC, a genetic condition, which means tumours grow all over his body. Brain tumours lead to epilepsy, autism, severe learning difficulties and challenging behaviours, he functions as a toddler but with attitude! Tumours occur in other body organs and, in William, mean life threatening renal complications. Throughout her life Jessie has watched her brother go in and out of hospital and have many medical procedures. She knows how tough it is when he needs our total attention and help with every aspect of daily living. Christmas 2017 was tough as William was unwell and his behaviour was challenging. As a result Jessie spent most of the holiday period in her room and, rather than mope, decided to do something to make others smile. That something is 'William's Wishes' in her brothers name. We can't cure TSC, but we can brighten someones day with kindness. She's just a child who wants to help people going through hard times. Please support her.
