Story

Toby is 9years old. He enjoys visiting the residents at Willows Edge care home in Newbury. He would often join in with many activities or spend time getting to know each individual. Since the lockdown began he has realised how hard it is for them to not be able to see the people that matter the most to them, their family and friends. He wanted to do something for them on their behalf. This is when he decided that he would fundraise so that once the restricitions are lifted and their loved ones can return, they can spend time together having some fun.

Toby hopes to raise money to put into Willows Edge’s amenity fund. This can then be put towards anything from a craft event to a post lockdown reunion party.

Toby has set himself a goal to walk 500 miles during ‘lockdown’ he began on April 1st 2020 and intends to finish this before returning to school. His walks have all been tracked through his strava account and he is well on his way to his goal. If anyone can spare any amount towards such a wonderful cause then i know both Toby and Willows Edge residents will be very thankful.
