I've raised £10000 to kickstart the repair of the fencing alongside the canal in Nash Mills.

Willows Residents Association (WRA) was formed 10 years ago to be a point of contact for residents living on the estate to share ideas for improvement and matters of concern.
The estate is facing an immediate problem. The wooden fencing bordering the canal has become unsafe and needs repairing. This fence was erected 25 years ago when the estate was first built to provide a safe boundary between the new houses and canal edge. Neither Dacorum Borough Council or the Canal and River Trust claim ownership of the fence.
Previously, whenever sections of the fence became loose or unstable the WRA have purchased the materials required and organised volunteers to mend the rails. Unfortunately, due to lockdown, repairs were able to be made and following the winter large sections of the fence have now fallen off completely.
The canal side fence plays an integral part in the safety of our estate, especially the children who play here and the fence urgently needs to be repaired and reinstated.
To to help raise awareness of the problem and source funding, the WRA are coordinating a ‘Your Fence Needs You’ campaign. Please contact us with any suggestions or offers of help membership@willowsra.org
All donations will be gratefully received and put toward the cost of the new fence..

The WRA is a volunteer’s members group that relies on the £5 contribution from each household. We organise communal activities including, Parties on the Green, Estate Tidy up days, Pub Quizzes and other events.
