I've raised £5000 to Help fund essential drainage works to football pitch

We would like to start off by saying we know and realise the past few years have been tough on everybody with the pandemic and now rising costs across the board, fuel prices increasing, energy prices increasing, water, council tax, mortgage rates, etc…means that many are going to be struggling more than ever and will be unable to help the football club and that is absolutely fine and we thank you for your support, we have set up this page as a few people we have spoken to have asked if we had a crowdfunding page so we decided to put in the time here to put one in place.
The current drainage system in place under the main pitch at Wincanton Sports Ground is no longer fit for purpose, has totally collapsed underneath and has left our pitch completely unplayable, unsafe and totally and utterly beyond repair.
We have had sports turf experts, drainage consultants and grounds management association reps all come to visit us and carry out different tests and surveys, and the view of all was that the drainage system had now completely failed & collapsed, it is beyond repair, not fit for purpose anymore and needs replacing.
This comes at a huge cost to us, we believe we are entitled to receive a Football Foundation grant for a large portion of the grant but it still leaves us to raise around £20,000 to cover costs. The fantastic news is we have managed to raise over half of this already but still need to find an additional £5,000 at least in order to be able to play at Wincanton Sports Ground
Thank you for your time in reading this, as mentioned we know this is not an ideal time to ask for support and we totally understand if you are unable to help, however one way or another if we are to continue playing football in Wincanton we need to sort this and if you can spare something towards our cause, no matter how large or small then we would be truly grateful for your support.
Thank you for your support
