I work on 30 bed Elderly Medicine ward at Southend University Hospital Trust, that deals with dementia and any other medical problems that occur with patients that are over 75 years of age.

I have been working on Windsor Ward now for more than 3 years and I have had so much support in encouragement and by gaining the confidence in providing the best care for the patients from all the multi-disciplinary teams that I have worked with over the years. Also, the joy I feel when a patient and the relatives smile and laugh with you, to the sadness and low times of a patient and relatives.

By doing something that I like and enjoy, I decided to challenge myself and have decided to give something back to ward and patients that stay with us. so I thought i would help to raise funds to improve our medical equipment and enhance other equipment that will give the patients a better experience whilst they are staying on the ward.
