Winston is an eight year old ex-race horse who I have dreamed about owning for the last 20 years. After badgering my partner for the last 2 years I finally got to have my own horse. The first 9 months of ownership went like a dream and I couldn't have asked for more. My perfect partner at last, then disaster struck! Winston wasn't himself and after numerous investigations he was finally diagnosed with Impinging dorsal spinal processes or commonly known as Kissing Spines.

My vet advised the best course of action would be surgery considering the severity. I followed the vets advice thinking "it's OK, I have insurance." in my naivety I didn't realize the cost of the treatment.
