Story

Just before Christmas this year on the Winter Solstice Chloe Robertson and Dave More will take on a 24 hour challenge to run 100 miles in Duthie park, Starting on the shortest, darkest day of the year they will run 161 loops of the park raising money for 3 different children's charities and groups.

The charities are:

Northsounds Cash 4 Kids, helping local children and families.

Cove Youth 2011 Football Team helping fund these boys to their first away tournament in Fleetwood.

Gathimba Edwards Foundation helping to provide as many Kenyan children as possible with the opportunity of a brighter future.

We felt passionately about being able to use our sport as a platform to help local children and those further away to get something more this Christmas. A 100 mile run will always throw up issues along the way but doing it on the winter solstice with the least amount of daylight available plus the unknown of weather conditions in Aberdeen in December adds that bit of edginess to the run.
