Story
On April 30th, 2023 we were devastated to see cricket nets at Winton cricket club were burnt badly left in an unusable state. The cricket nets were bought new around six months ago and installed at Slades park.
These nets are used everyday by all age group kids from age 8 to 19 years and adults. Coaching and training plays a significant role for learning new skills and improving for any child or adult. Cricket nets are the main equipment required to provide a safe for players and the general public.
As a cricket club we want to continue providing a great environment and correct equipment for children, we look forward to restoring the burnt crickets nets and also extend to have additional nets in place at both Slades park and Winton Cricket grounds.
Here is our plan of action:
- We will be restoring the burnt nets by replacing them with a new net.
- Install additional nets to allow multiple age group kids to practice at the same time.
