We've been blown away by the support from everyone during the past 6 months. Having now secured the future of the Club, meaning we can compete during our 100th Year.. We now plan to move on to our next target of reaching £5000, this will ensure we can improve the facilities on the Recreation Ground. This will benefit the club & the public who can carry on using its facilities.

During 2021 we aim to hit our last target of £10,000. This will mean the club can continue to benefit the local community. We wish to provide new facilities for the youngsters of Wirksworth. With plans for a small 5-A-Side pitch which will be free to use by youth sides in the area.

Hitting our target of £10,000 will also open up opportunities for us to improve the changing rooms, pitch standards & drainage, access to the ground and much, much more.

We're a non-profit organisation and this will continue to be the case so you can guarantee all funding will be put to use.

MAY 2020..... Wirksworth Ivanhoe FC have existed and played football on the very same pitch for 99 years.. however with the current circumstances in the world, our club is under threat, and funds are needed for the club to survive!

Of course football has to take a seat on the bench while the world fights its way back to normality, but when it does, sport will be a force of good that helps bring the community of Wirksworth back together.

Our club is a non-profit organisation, with a team of volunteers at the heart of its day to day running. The players pay subs to play, and we in turn provide them with a club to play for. We've had to cancel our annual 5-A-Side tournament which is vital to the funding of the club, and with no way of knowing when we'll return to playing we've had to look at ways to raise funds.

We're looking to raise £10,000 over the next year! This would go towards keeping the club afloat, some urgent maintenance and if enough is raised we would then look to improve facilities on the Recreation Ground, not just for the club, but for the community of Wirksworth.

We plan to make it to our centenary year, and with the Wirksworth and the football community, we hope this will be a possibility. In a years time we'd love to kick start our 2021 season with a huge party to say thank you to all those that helped save Wirksworth Ivanhoe FC! All money raised will go directly to our club!
