Mia was born deaf and had cochlear implants when she was 16, but has overcome all obstacles to become a competitive swimmer. She currently swims for Loftus Dolphins swim club and GB deaf swimming club.

She has been selected to represent team GB at this year’s Deaflympics to be held in Tokyo, Japan in November 2025.

Unfortunately, there is no funding for deaf athletes and so we are currently raising money through fundraising and sponsorship to enable her to attend.
