I've raised £100 to Raise awareness and funds for the Pink Pants Trust

On the 2nd September, Michelle Higginson, Sarah Johnson, Diane Stokes, Angela Price & Michelle Tong will be completing the Wolf Run to raise awareness and funds for the Pink Pants Trust.
Pink Pants is able to inform individuals to take control of their health and the opportunity for them to avoid cancer.
Sally Chapman founder of Pink Pants created the trust from her bed while recovering from her preventative double mastectomy at the age of 28. With a family history of cancer Sally’s family were referred to the genetics department of a local hospital where she was subsequently tested for the BRCA2 after her mother was found to have the gene fault. (BRCA1 is the same gene made famous by Angelina Jolie). The gene fault drastically increases the risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Sally’s goal is to ensure Pink Pants reaches out to the whole country to help both women and men with families like hers to raise awareness and support to ensure no-one experiences lack of knowledge or seclusion.
Why we need to exist?
With an increased risk of breast and ovarian cancer, the BRCA gene fault can have medical, emotional, financial, physical and social significances for all carriers and their families. Furthermore, these cancers can occur at a much younger age. It is essential we exist and work hard to inform and raise funds to support individuals that are or may be at risk including those that are borderline of being funded by our NHS. This is only possible by vigoursly engrossing and enlighten every British citizen about the BRCA gene.
We would be incredibly grateful for any donations received.
Thank you
Michelle, Sarah, Dye, Angie & Michelle.xx
