Hiya, my name is 🙋🏾♀️ Toyin Ayedun-Alase i'm an actress, facilitator and the founder of Womenaftergreatness a grassroot social enterprise on a mission to empower and equip Young Women and Girls in East London to conquer negative cycles and build great opportunities. We do this through our education, training, and wellbeing program and services.

We’re passionate about improving the socio-economic outcomes amongst marginlised community groups with an acute focus on issues pertaining to Black and Brown women and girls. In the light of continued injustices we remain commited to creating safe spaces for our women to challenge stereotypes and celebrate themselves.
WE'RE RAISING 10K TO CONTINUE TO KEEP OUR GREAT WORK GOING AND ADAPT OUR FANTASTIC SERVICES TO SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY!!
What Have We Been Doing So Far?
Like many of you we have been adapting to our new normal and with that comes additional needs, resources and let’s just say it, MONEY!
As the founder I’ve dedicated myself to growing the enterprise as a full time volunteer - due to limited funding that only covers the delivery of our projects and not the administration and logistics that gets us there. As you can imagine this hasn’t always been sustainable. With the knock on effects of COVID-19 limiting opportunity for work, partnerships and funding, our needs have only increased.
Nonetheless we have remained proactive and have adapted where possible and continued to serve our community online as much as possible but more than ever we need your help!
What Will You Be Funding?
As an immediate response your donations will go towards:
*Our continued wellbeing & 1-2-1 services taking place on and offline.
*Helping to fund our latest project DIGITAL BOOK CLUB #SHEREADS starting July: funding books, resources, staffing and expenses for volunteers.
In the long term, your money will go a long way to enable us to pay our hard working facilitators and cover administrative & marketing costs. Giving us freedom to develop and adapt our successful projects like our career mentoring (#shementors), CV Clinics, empowerment workshops & productions such as our latest documentary ‘Lessons From My Mother ’.
