Support Retreat into Wonderland’s Golden Oldies

At Retreat into Wonderland, we don’t often ask for help.

We quietly get on with it. We budget carefully, make things stretch, and make sure our residents always come first. But right now, we’re facing a situation we can’t simply “get by” with.

Our beloved pig Bertha is poorly.

Bertha is one of our older girls and has already been on medication for some time. Recently, she needed the vet out, and it’s clear that going forward she will require ongoing lifelong medication to keep her comfortable and pain-free.

The emergency vet visit has added to our outgoings, and the cost of her continued treatment is an additional cost.

All of our pigs here are older now. They came to us for safety, and they will stay with us for life. Growing old is a privilege, but it brings increasing medical needs. Alongside them, we care for a donkey on lifelong medication, and our feed bills alone are significant every single month.

We are raising £1,500 to help cover:

* Recent emergency vet fees for Bertha

* Her ongoing medication

* Support for our other elderly residents

* Essential feed and daily care

This isn’t about expansion.
