Story

This page is dedicated to raising funds to celebrate and remember the life of our pupil Lucy Green. Lucy passed away in Year 7 (last summer term) after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. To remember Lucy at her school Woodland Middle School, Flitwick we have commissioned a sculpture that will be placed in one of the school’s gardens for the children to enjoy, reflect and remember Lucy.

The cost of the sculpture is about £2,000. Funds will be raised using a non-uniform day at school, a PTA donation and hopefully donations from the friends of Lucy and the school community. Any additional monies raised will be paid to CLIC Sargent, the cancer care specialists for children with cancer.

This page is run by the school using the PTA charity account, so funds will initially be paid to the school PTA, who will then forward the donations to the school for the sculpture and directly to CLIC Sargent.

Thank you in advance for visiting this page and for your donation, the school, Lucy’s friends and family all really appreciate your kindness. You can watch the Remembering Lucy video featuring the whole of her year group on our school field, sending Lucy love, filmed by the drone pilot Elliott Heathcoate.
