we are a charity run preschool in woolston with children from 2- 4 years of age. Our buliding is one large room with a half partition for the kitchen and a small office. a large proportion of our children have speech and language delays and/or special educational needs and whilst we run a number of attention autsim groups, speech and language groups such as nursery narrative and BLAST and soon a sunshine circle for social and emotional difficulties, this is becoming increasingly difficult as its very noisy and busy in the main room. It is very difficult for the children to block out the distractions of the surroundings abd to tune in and listen to the group. Therefore we are fund raising to help pay to section off a small area with walls and nake a room just for these specific groups. It will make a huge difference in how our groups help the children who need it the most and help to maximise the progress the children make. Interventions in the early years of a childs life are proven to make a massive difference in development accross the board and we are comitted to doing the best we can for all our children.
