Weʼre raising £20,000 to start a charity to help people with autism find work in a business run by specially trained staff to facilitate their requirements.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I have a friend with a 13 year old son who suffers from autism. My dear friend an i were talking an her son is now coming to tgat age where she is concerned to what his future holds as it goes there is only disability living allowance it seems according to the infomation my friend has an passed on to me. This got me thinking, what if i can help my friend by establishing a business such as a car was where her son coukd work ? This will require a lot of work on my part - meetings with medical professionals, consultations with people that care for autism sufferers, meetings with equipment providers, finding an appropriate venue to set up such an enterprise, research on the condition, understanding what we can do to train people with the condition to work so as not to agetate the condition as I am aware that sounds can have an effect. I really would like to do something to help with this an a charity is a start, the business will allow for us to pay them a salary, provide a sense of well being, give confidence to the individuals (which work does).
I know i have a long tough road ahrad but this is my story an my reasoning. I look forward to you supporting me in this.
