I'm raising £500 to support disaster response in Nepal

Organised by World Challenge
Emergencies

Story

On 26 August, severe flooding swept through the Trishuli River Valley in northern Nepal, causing widespread damage and the death or disappearance of over 6,000 people. More than 10,000 households are estimated to need immediate support, and some affected villages remain difficult to access.

We are thankful that our community partners and local guides are safe. However, many have staff, family members and communities within their networks who have been directly affected by the flooding. Several of our partners have already begun supporting recovery efforts on the ground, working alongside affected communities to respond to immediate needs and help coordinate longer-term recovery.

We are collecting donations to support these grassroots efforts, which we'll distribute through our trusted local partners.

Donations will help communities respond to their most immediate priorities and recovery efforts in the months to come. This might include:

- Repairing damaged community facilities and infrastructure

- Supporting families whose homes and livelihoods have been affected

- Replacing essential equipment and resources lost in the floods

- Helping communities recover and rebuild in the months ahead

Thank you for joining us in support of the people of Nepal.
