    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

I have been selected to attend The World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia USA as part of 750 members of The UK International Service Team. The World Scout Jamboree is the biggest international scout camp in the world and up to 50,000 people are expected to attend.

To gain this role I underwent a selection process which involved me writing a personal statement before being invited to an interview.

The IST works very hard to provide an action packed program for young people at the World Scout Jamboree. Our aim is to “youth shape” which means that we encourage young people from around the world to create a jamboree experience that is unique to themselves by helping them find themselves as an individual and push themselves out of their comfort zones.

Overall, we aim to change the lives of many scouts and guides from all 4 corners of the world by delivering a cultural and adventurous experience, that they can use to influence their local scouting communities.
