Story
I’m Trekking the African Bush in April 2026 (Easter holidays) to raise money for our children! Please support Woodsetts Primary School to get new iPads for our pupils.
In April 2026, I will be taking on an unforgettable challenge: an African Bush Trek—crossing rugged terrain, intense heat and incredible wildlife landscapes - facing all of my fear! - all to raise vital funds for the children at Woodsetts Primary School.
This trek is 100% self-funded. Every cost for travel, accommodation and the challenge itself is being paid by me personally.
➡️ This means that 100% of all donations will go directly towards buying a brand-new set of iPads for our school.
As Headteacher, I see every day how transformative technology can be for our children. iPads open doors for learning across the curriculum:
📚 Supporting reading, writing and fluency
🔬 Enhancing science, projects and research
🎨 Developing creativity in art, design and multimedia
🌍 Bringing the world into the classroom
🧩 Providing essential support for our SEND and disadvantaged pupils
We want every child at Woodsetts to have equal access to high-quality digital tools that support independence, confidence and future-ready skills—but to achieve this, we need more devices in school.
Why this trek?
The African Bush Trek is a demanding, multi-day challenge—long distances, heat, early starts and basic living conditions. But pushing myself out of my comfort zone feels worthwhile if it helps provide our children with the very best learning opportunities.
Your support will make a real difference
Every penny donated will go directly into putting iPads into the hands of our pupils and improving learning for years to come.
👉 Please donate if you can—and help us give our children the technology they deserve.
Thank you so much for your kindness, support and encouragement. Together, we can make something amazing happen for Woodsetts Primary School.
