* Challenge update 10/09/2017 *
The Everest/One million step challenge 2017; three times a day up the Wrekin, every day finished after ten weeks on 10/09/2017.
The challenge is officially over but the page will remain active for a while for any late donations.
The initial eight week challenge started Monday, July 3rd and was completed Sunday August 27th 2017 which saw one million steps taken only up the Wrekin and the height of Everest reached nine times, one more than proposed! Three ascents minimum each and every day.
This has been a labour of love, sweat and at times tears and dedication every single day to raise as much money as possible for the following three worthy causes:
Cancer research UK
MacMillian cancer support
The Respiratory ward 9 of the Princess Royal hospital, Telford. (a personal thank you from me due to recent events)
The one million steps taken only up the Wrekin were reached in six weeks and five days on Friday August 18th 2017 totalling 1,004,115 steps on the last ascent of the evening.
Everest eight times was reached Sunday August 20th 2017 in seven weeks, a week early thanks to extra ascents throughout the weeks with a total of 203 ascents.
The endurance challenge of three ascents a day minimum over eight weeks were reached on Sunday August 27th 2017 at 10am.
Please share this page (buttons below) to raise awareness and hopefully make a difference to those less fortunate than ourselves.
Thank you all for your support over the two months your donations, support and encouragement has been beyond belief and made this challenge possible. Thank you all so much.
