I've raised £1000 to Contribute to our fundraising effort for the World Scout Jamboree 2019.

We are raising money toward attending the World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia 2019. The World Scout Jamboree is held every 4 years and scouts from all over the world come together. The funding we raise will help support scouts from other less wealthy countries to attend as well as meeting the costs for ourselves to attend.
We are undertaking the three peaks challenge in July to contribute to our fundraising efforts for the World Scout Jamboree 2019.
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales with in time limit. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 meters (10,052ft) - twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a similar total walking distance. The total driving distance is 462 miles.
The three mountains are: • Snowdon, in Wales (1085m) • Scafell Pike, in England (978m) • Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1345m)
We plan to go with a Group of young people from the local scout district to climb all three mountains over the July weekend.
The challenge has two outcomes for us.
1-Raise funds toward the World Scout Jamboree fee which we are both been selected for, Katie as a unit Leader and Beth as International Support team. Supporting Scouts ages 14-18 in their three-week adventure at the largest Jamboree yet in West Virginia, USA.
2- This is a challenge that will test our fitness and help us both start our journey to be fit for Jamboree. This will enable us to support the young people in this ones in a life time experience. For more information about the jamboree go to https://ukcontingent.co.uk/jamboree-2019/
