Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to come to my page. My name is Will and I'm a survivor of Child Abuse and someone who has experienced Mental Health difficulties.

A little about my story; this year I made the biggest step of my life and I went to the Police about child abuse I experienced when I was younger - discussing the events was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I am very fortunate, in as much as the perpetrator is not a member of my family and I have two very loving parents, who have supported me through this with patience and compassion - not so many people are that fortunate.

Since I have began to talk about my abuse it has made me realise exactly how much of my life it's affected.

The crux of it comes down to where can I/we best help? To solve this, I'm starting a charity called 'Where there's a will' and the objectives are as follows;

Where there's a will, we will;

-challenge the stigma of mental health and support those experiencing it.
-encourage survivors of child abuse to speak out and support those who have experienced it.
-promote the importance of sport, nutrition and personal development in healing from Child Abuse and Mental Health issues.

My first task; I will be making a World Record attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro ... blindfolded. Why? Because climbing a mountain blindfolded is like dealing with mental health issues and / or the results of child abuse without the support of others. The only way I am going to be able to achieve this is with assistance so, I hope this makes people realise they can achieve anything they want and asking for help is the first step.
