Story
Since March 2020, to say football has been 'stop start' is an understatement. It's a great outlet for players and supporters alike. Friendships are made on and off the pitch and sadly that interaction has had to be put on hold with the various Covid restrictions.
Whilst the players are staying fit, First Team manager, Leon Moore, came up with the idea of some friendly competition amongst the teams, whilst helping a good cause.
As a collective we can aim to run 2,000 miles in 4 weeks with a target of raising £1,000 at the same time.
The captain's of the First Team, Reserves, Under 18's and Ladies team will collect the stats from their respective players each week to see how far they have run. With apps and fitness trackers widely available it will be easy to get accurate figures and see which team comes out on top.
Donations will spur on the players to go that extra mile and being able to raise money for a charity such as FIND is will give a bigger sense of achievement. More and more people are finding that they are having to rely on foodbanks in the current climate and if we can hit the target it will be a big help for them to continue the great work they do.

4 years agoThanks to everyone for their generosity. We had to keep raising the target due to the kind donations but to raise over £3,000 is amazing. Keep an eye on our website and the socials to see how the funds raised will help FIND Ipswich and the families that rely on their services.

4 years agoThe training is over, now it's time for the real thing. We've been overwhelmed by the support. The initial target of raising £1000 was hit. We raised the target to £1500 and it was hit. This is all before the players have started recording their runs. It all starts tomorrow and the lads and ladies will be clocking up the miles. We've raised the bar and taken the target up to an amazing £2,500. To hit that would be incredible but your donation, however small would help us to reach this and assist FIND with the great work they do.

4 years agoAfter an incredible first weekend we hit our initial £1,000 target before we've even started running! Hitting that £1k so quickly was a shock but our next milestone is £1,500. It would be amazing to hit this before next Monday. An extra £500 would surely mean an additional 500 miles for the players to run wouldn't it? Hitting that renewed £1,500 target would certainly make a big difference to FIND and the work that they do.
