Although I've run a few marathons in the past, this will be my first in a long while. I'm hoping the relatively flat course will see me through to the end in one piece!

I wanted to run for a charity that a good friend introduced me to recently called Savera UK.

Savera UK is a charity that works to safeguard those at risk of horrific incidents of honour based abuse, female genital mutilation and forced marriage in BME communities. They work extremely hard with limited resources supporting individuals and families at risk of domestic abuse and harmful practices and also raising awareness among professionals and the communities of such practices.
