Story
Although their own lives and those of their families are daily at risk, Ukrainian Jungian psychoanalysts (also known as Analytical Psychologists) work tirelessly to care for their clients and their communities.
They run vital projects (eg working with women who have been raped - always publicly - by Russian soldiers, projects for traumatised children and for the bereaved); they train future professionals to try to meet overwhelming demand for psychological assistance; they supervise clinical work and so on - even though they themselves have children and/or husbands at the front, may have come from Occupied Territories (in some cases where their homes and even the graves of their family members have been destroyed), have been injured in missile attacks, are refugees and have lost close family and friends.
When they go to bed at night they do not know whether they or those they love will be allive in the morning.
The need for psychological support in Ukraine is overwhelming - for adults and children. WithUkrainianJungians (WUJ) supports our colleagues so that they can effectively support others.
(In fact, we are open to all, not just Jungian colleagues - including academics and students at the universities.)
Since starting the project we have expanded our support to include colleagues from other countries where people are facing the threat of annihilation.
We are an informal international group solely reliant on the generosity of individuals.
Analysts who have supported the project include Joe Cambray, Ursula Wirtz, Ann Ulanov, Don Kalsched, Murray Stein, George Hogenson, Renos Papadopulos, Verena Kast, Ann Shearer, , Tom Singer, Lionel Corbett, Susan Schwartz, Marian Dunlea, Elisabetta Passini, Helen Morgan, Alessandra di Montezemolo, Karin Fleischer, Lisa Marchiano, Lily Rose Nomfundo Mlisa, Heyong Shen, Pi-Chen Hsu, Eva Pattis, Jörg Rasche, and academics Prof Sonu Shamdasani and Katerina Sarafidou. WUJ is also grateful for the support of IAAP.

Our Ukrainian colleagues describe the WUJ project as "a lighthouse in the sea; steady, faithful to its inner calling, offering orientation not by noise or force, but simply by being present and luminous in the storm".
Please help us to continue to support our colleagues in Ukraine and those elsewhere in the world whose people face annihilation. We do this by running webinars, reading groups, social dreaming matrices and personal support.
One thing I have learnt from my trips to Ukraine is that each one of us individually can make a difference. The support of individuals is key to Ukraine's defence. If we support the civilian population, they are able to stand strong against the threat of tyranny - a reality that threatens us all in Europe and possibly wider afield. Ukraine is a hope in the world - that with courage and fortitude the threat of tyranny can be withstood.
Your donation will make a real difference - the ripple effect will reach far and wide. Thank you from everyone at WUJ, from our colleagues in Ukraine and for all those for whom they care.
