Story

On Monday 5th November, staff arrived in School to a Biblical scene of flood, destruction and horror, not seen since Anne Widdecombe was last on Strictly.

Seriously though, our 12 year old acrylic fish tank decided to burst, flooding the classrooms and corridors with a tsunami of water and our prized collection of tropical cold water fish.

Sadly, our insurers are unable to help us..... but you can!

Due to the heroics on the part of our loyal technicians, only two fish were lost....

Time is pressing, we have borrowed a small holding tank from our local Sea Life Center (thank you) but it is too small and only a temporary solution.

We would love to replace our tank so our pupils, and future generations get to enjoy and study the fish as part of our Science and Animal care courses.

We have been lucky to have such a resource to support teaching and learning in our school and it would be a real shame to lose it.

If you can help in any way, the pupils and staff at the Wey Valley School would be extremely grateful.

Thank you
