Journey to HOYS 2019

We are a team of five young riders, all under 15 from Sir Watkin Williams Wynn's Pony Club on the Shropshire, Cheshire, North Wales border. We train every week throughout the year to compete in mounted games competitions around the country. It is an extremely physical and technical sport combining riding skills, commitment, horsemanship, self discipline and team spirit.

This year, we have qualified at the highest level to compete in the Prince Philip Cup, held at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) at the NEC, 2-6 October 2019. Only six teams across the Country qualify and we are proud to be one of them.

Our team includes Iyla, Marcus, Will, Gabe and Amelia with our amazing ponies Ifan, Billy, Cody, Smokey and Mickey - not forgetting our reserve rider, Charlie and our top trainer Lisa Pearson.

We are now fundraising to raise enough money to send the team to the event. This will help us cover the cost of training, equipment, passes, catering, power, stabling etc. We are very grateful for any money donated and in return you will become part of our Journey to HOYS 2019.
