I've raised £1500 to buy flowers and planters for Wymondham in Bloom. We want to brighten grey spaces in town with plants, i.e. near the public toilets.

2019 was the first year Wymondham entered the Anglia in Bloom competition, and we were proud to achieve Silver Gilt overall. We also won 'Best New Entry', 'Best Commercial Area' for the high street, and 'Best Young People's Project - under 12s' for Ashleigh School Farm.
In 2021, we would like to add more flowers and plants to grey spaces in the town such as the public toilets in market street car park. The theme will be "Bee Friendly". Other ideas include planters on Market Place as well as barrier-topper planters at the junction of Harts Farm Road and Station Road.
One new self-watering barrier planter costs around £200, but will last to be enjoyed for many years.
If our fundraising target is reached we may have a chance of receiving match funding from the council. Public support is key!
