Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Christmas Lights JustGiving page.

I always loved Christmas and couldn’t wait for the Christmas tree to be put up and decorated with ‘fairy’ lights. To me it was ‘magical’ and a wonderful time of the year. My love of Christmas and those magical lights never faded and over the years I have collected more and more lights. During my growing up years, I used to be taken to Blackpool to see the wonderful lights display there and in later years, took my own children. Now I am a Granddad and still love Christmas, and we still enjoy the beautiful light displays which attracts people from far and wide. For a few years now I have put up christmas lights in my garden and as the popularity grew of putting different light sculptures outside, so did my Christmas lights display into the large display you can see today. I plan from year to year where each light and bauble will go and it takes several weeks to prepare in between working and our inclement weather! However, the end result is worth all the effort and hard work, and to see the faces of the children (and adults) who visit the display year after year, you couldn’t put their expressions into words.

This year we have chosen to collect donations for West Yorkshire Dog Rescue who also have a shop in Peniatone they do amazing work with those dogs not as lucky as those we love and care

Lights are on each night from around 4.30pm and go off around 10.00pm during December 2017

Please feel free to visit our display and either leave a donation online or in the collection box. Why not bring your camera and take a picture of the kids next to the life size deer!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thankyou for your support  and a Merry Christmas to you and your family

Thanks also to my long suffering son Jamie who works hard to safely wire up more and more plugs each year ready for the big switch on!
