Story
Crieff foodbank helps families in crisis in our community. At Christmas, we want these families to have a lovely Christmas meal. The usual collections for the foodbank can't accept perishables, so we are going to buy Xmas lunch boxes just before the 25th Dec with all the fresh ingredients needed to make the meal (turkey,/chicken, veg, trimmings, christmas cake, etc).
Last year we provided Xmas meals to 9 families (37 individuals including 10 children). From the feedback we know that your generosity made all the difference to those familes on Christmas day. Rather depressingly, as the use of the foodbank is rising, we expect a greater demand this year. Thank you in advance for your support.
All funds you donate will go directly to paying for these boxes. Anything raised over what we need to buy the meal boxes (or the target) will go to the food bank. Thank you for caring.
Q: Who is organising this? A: local folk who are friends of the Crieff food bank.
Q: Who identifies the families? A: The volunteers who run the foodbank are asking families who come into the food bank in December if they would like one of the meal boxes.
