Story
Andy has been suffering from a brain tumour for the past few years. He has had three craniotomies and various courses of chemotherapy during this time. Unfortunately during the last operation he suffered a stroke and as a result he is unable to use his right arm, hand or leg and he is also suffering from aphesia (speech difficulties).
Andy has now been in hospital for a long period of time and is keen to get home before Christmas. Sophie, his wife, has looked into the alterations needed before this can become a reality. Andy will need to sleep downstairs and they will need adequate bathroom facilities as he will be unable to get upstairs. These building works will cost around £3000 to install a bathroom that he can get in comfortably and safely. Also, doorways and doors will need widening to accommodate a wheelchair and Sara Stedy.
Andy has been an inspiration to us all. He has battled through this illness with positivity and courage and we want him to be able to return to some sort of normality. He has always been the life and soul of the party and we want to give him something back for all the laughs and good times we have had with him.
Please help us and give us what you can.
