I'm raising £10,000 for my mother Mary.

Over a year ago my mum was rushed into hospital after having suffered a stroke, during her recovery I tried to offer as much support as I could but this past year she has been diagnosed with vascular dementia. Unfortunately her mental health is only going to decline, she is currently in a respite care home until I can provide some safe guarding measures in her home so she can return home.

I simply do not have the means, financially to pay for her care, which will need to be over 3 times a day. So what I would like to do for her is fix her house up before Christmas so she can return home and we can have a memorable time together before things get worse for her.

My logic is to fix the home to increase its value for when she sells it when she is too ill to live by herself; the money made once her mortgage is paid off will enable me to find the best care and support for her in her remaining years.

I need to;

Get her kitchen plastered, re wired and just fitted with new units

I want to strip all the wallpaper in the house and re paint.

Strip all the carpets and re carpet upstairs installing rails etc, varnish wooden floors.

Re do the bathroom and fix the plumbing.

Fix up her garden.

Cosmetically

I would like to buy her some furniture and a new tv.

She would be mortified me doing this but unfortunately I just cannot do this alone and I have tried. I'm trying to work while emotionally preparing for a huge loss and be present to support her while dealing with social workers and all the rest. it's a lot. Anything you can donate to help will be incredible; or even if you know any tradespeople that are able to offer discounted or even pro bono services to this cause I would be eternally grateful.
