On the 12 Jul, a few days before her 32nd birthday, my beautiful sister Yasmin Davies was told that the lump in her breast was in fact triple negative breast cancer. Another blow was that it had only been less than two years since our beautiful mother was taken from us by the same horrible disease.

For those who don’t know my sister, she is nothing less than a super woman. Wife to her husband Ibrahim and mother to 4 beautiful young children. She is also a home school teacher. Scout Leader, Midwife student who already has an English literature degree, best friend, loving sister, devoted wife, dutiful Muslim ….

Over the last 8 weeks, we have been through a traumatising termination as advised by doctors and the complications from which have left Yasmin in extreme pain and have aslo delayed her life saving Chemo treatment. She has spent the last 6 weeks in a hospital bed with the excruciating pain that has left her not being able to walk and an unknown infection causing fevers every night - despite these trials Yasmin still manages to smile and think of others.

Last week we were told that the cancer had spread to her bones…. We are hoping to start the chemo soon but we are waiting for doctors to find the source of her infections.

I’m starting this fund to relieve some of the financial pressures from her family.

Although we never dreamed that life would bring us to this point we are all following Yasmin's lead and staying positive and optimistic of the future.
