Story
Colchester Zoo is a big part of our local community and provides an excellent day out for children and adults alike. Unfortunately, due to the restrictions during the COVID pandemic, Colchester Zoo is now struggling to stay open, due to reduced capacity , cost of animal welfare and the upkeep of the park. This has been made worse since Essex was moved into a High risk category.
A group of year 2 children from in and around Kelvedon would like to support their local zoo by doing sponsored litter picks during the week of half-term. Each child will go out into their local community and do 3 hours of litter picking to raise money for this worthy cause, with the added bonus of helping keep their local parks and streets clean.
Please can you help them support Colchester Zoo!
